BARGAINING
UPDATES
November 3, 2025
On Monday, we reached a tentative agreement on protections around English Language Testing for international grad workers. This marks our tenth tentative agreement since we began bargaining for our first contract! We fielded the administration’s counter proposals on Appointments and Professional Rights, and returned our counters for Grievance and Arbitration, Discipline and Discharge, Professional Rights, and Support. We are eagerly waiting for Pitt’s administration to return counters, as most of our active proposals are now sitting in their court.
This past week, our colleagues sent hundreds of emails to Chancellor Gabel and Provost McCarthy asking why we have not been paid the raises we deserve. We deeply appreciate the solidarity from our colleagues as we continue the fight for our raises. The stronger our membership is, the stronger our first contract will be!
As usual, you can stay up to date with our Bargaining Tracker, and see this and previous updates and newsletters here. Don’t forget to fill out your membership card, or to fill out this form if your working conditions change. The administration will NOT have access to your membership card information (including whether or not you signed one) until our first contract is ready for ratification.
In solidarity,
